
"Getting stronger” applies to both my mental and physical health. By building a routine and engaging my body, I’ve discovered a new level of mental resilience. Instead of getting lost in my depression, I can now tune into my body to better understand my emotions. This transformation began with the mind-body connection I’ve developed, something that felt impossible before. For so long, I was disconnected from my body, which left me feeling weak and lacking confidence. I didn’t believe I was capable of what I can now achieve. But as my body strengthens, so does my mind. Each workout reinforces this connection, making me feel safer and more at home in my body. It’s a continuous process of grounding myself, and I’ve never felt more in sync with my body. What made being consistent difficult before was the lack of motivation and variety. I didn’t feel motivated to go work out alone and I never had anyone that could go with me. I had never learned how to properly workout so I’d do the same things over and over again. Being able to pick what I want to do and have a variety of exercises to do makes coming into training with Ria exciting."
